A deposit of 20 % holds your place. The balance is due 60 days before departure. The price on the tour page is the price you pay. There is no booking fee and no local payment.

More than 60 days before departure we refund everything except the deposit, or move the deposit to another date once. Inside 60 days the refund depends on what we can recover from boats and rooms. The full table is on the booking conditions page.

Yes. A departure is confirmed once two travellers have booked, and we do not cancel for low numbers after that.

Each tour page gives the longest day. As a rule, if you can walk three to four hours with breaks you can join any walking tour. The boat trips ask only that you are steady on a ladder.

About half of our travellers do. Rooms and cabins are shared with one other traveller unless you ask for a single. Singles cost extra where they exist. Huts, bothies and boats have none.

Tell us when you book. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free are no trouble on any tour. In bothies and on boats the cook plans every meal in advance, so we need to know two weeks ahead.

Within one working day, usually sooner. Planners are at their desks Monday to Friday, nine to six, Lisbon time.

Yes. Every planner has travelled the routes they sell. Say which tour you are thinking about and we put you through to the right person, or to the guide when they are not in the hills.

Reply to your booking email or call the number on it. In the two weeks before departure you also get your guide's mobile number.
